GOAL 1: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
a. MLES will continue to sponsor its annual New Perspectives session at the 2002 MLA Annual Meeting.
b. MLES will co-sponsor programs at the 2002 MLA Annual Meeting with the Medical Informatics, Research, and International Cooperation Sections.
c. MLES will seek a sponsor for the New Perspectives program so that we can continue to offer travel stipends to presenters.
GOAL 2: ADVOCACY
a. MLES will continue to coordinate the Library School Reunion.
b. MLES is considering offering free Section membership to new faculty members and doctoral students with interests in health sciences or informatics education.
c. MLES will work with the Medical Informatics Section in developing recruitment and mentoring materials.
GOAL 3: ORGANIZATION
a. MLES will further develop the resources available through our website, now hosted on MLANET.
b. MLES will work to increase participation on a Yahoo!Groups discussion list, open to all members.
