- Academic Resident Librarian Program - University of Illinois at Chicago
- Henrietta M. Smith Residency
at University of South Florida Library, Tampa
The Henrietta M. Smith Residency offers recent MLS graduates a one-year, focused career development program with a full-time assignment in the Reference Department of the University of South Florida Tampa Library.

Library of Medicine Associate Fellowship Program
- North
Carolina State University Libraries Fellows
The NCSU Libraries Fellows program offers a select
group of recent M.L.S. graduates the opportunity for rapid professional
growth through a two-year fellowship combining assignment to an innovative project with
professional librarian experience and mentoring in a department.
- Research
Library Residency Program -- University of Michigan
3-4 positions. Recent assignments have included health science
information services.

- University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences Library
and Informatics Traineeships
This program is a year-long educational opportunity for individuals who
have earned an MLS degree and who have special interests or experience in
health sciences librarianship and medical informatics. The internship year
runs from August to August. Please see

Internship Program, Vanderbilt
University
The program is designed for recent MLS graduates or working librarians
who want health science library training. Recruitment normally takes place
in the spring for July/August openings and in the fall for January
openings. To apply, please send a recent resume with a cover letter
explaining why you are interested in the
internship and the names of three references to Frances Lynch, MLS,
